The International Listening Association (ILA) invites teachers, trainers,
researchers, and practitioners to present their listening research and programs
at the 2010 convention.
Our multi and interdisciplinary association is interested in listening in
various contexts, including, but not limited to, Business, Education,
Healthcare, Political, Psychological/Helping, Religion/Spirituality, Technological,
and Theory/Research. Research perspectives include Social Cognition,
Persuasion, Social Influence, Nonverbal Communication, as well as the more
traditional perceptions of listening.
ILA conferences boast an intimate setting with ample time to network and
interact with others. Most meals are included in the registration fee, and
participants are encouraged to brainstorm and design new projects.
Note that for some sessions, only abstract proposals, not completed papers, are
required for submission. The proposal process can be found at the ILA website
at http://www.listen.org .
Deadline is December 5, 2009.
